Rob has been Chief Executive of Ryder Cup Wales 2010 Ltd since September 2002 and played a key part in establishing the company following the successful bid to host the event.

Prior to this Rob had responsibility for co-ordinating delivery of the bid commitments as Head of the Sport, Lottery and Major Events division at the National Assembly for Wales.

Rob joined the then Welsh Office in 1985 working on a wide range of projects inside and outside the office including the Wales-Japan festival,  local government re-organisation with the Staff Commission and establishing the Carbon Trust in Wales.

Rob was brought up and lives in Cardiff.  He has an interest in all sports particularly tennis where he was latterly Chairman of Whitchurch Tennis Club and is a keen golfer and member of the Vale of Glamorgan Golf Club with a current handicap of 19.
