Qualification

The 20 participating teams come from Europe,Asia, Pan America, Africaand Oceania. The teams were able to qualify for the Junior World Cup by their continental championships.

The six best teams from the Euro Junior Nations Championships 2008 as well as the winner of the Euro Junior Nations Trophy will make the seven European participating countries up.

Moreover there are six teams from Asia which are the best four ranked countries of the Junior Asia Cupas well as Singapore and Malaysia which are qualified automatically because they host the tournament. Furthermore, the first three teams from the Pan American Junior Championship, the first and second of the Africa Junior World Cup Qualifier and two teams from Oceania will battle for the title.
