WELCOME ADDRESS by Professor Bruno Grandi, FIG President
Dear friends,
I have the pleasure and the great honour to welcome you here in Lorraine, in the superb City of Metz which will host the 27th Trampoline and Tumbling World Championships and the 20th World Age Group Competitions.
I feel privileged to share with you the emotions and the experience which accompany such a great event in which participate the best gymnasts around the world. I feel honoured to be here with you, in a country enjoying such a high gymnastics potential and impregnated with the fundamental values which contribute to the fame and the success of our sport.
This is an important meeting.
It is indeed a major milestone towards London where the 2012 Olympic Games will be held. A ticket for the OG will be negotiated in Metz already and I know that you will put all your heart to welcome those present or future champions.
As the FIG President and on behalf of the FIG Authorities and the entire international gymnastics community, I express my deepest gratitude as well as my warmest thanks to the City of Metz, the Department of Moselle, the region of Lorraine, the French Gymnastics Federation and to all those who played a major role in the success of this competition.
I wish all the best to our wonderful athletes, the delegations’ members and the officials. Last but not least, I express my admiration to the ever enthusiastic volunteers and spectators.

WELCOME TO METZ by Jacques Rey, FFG President
Dear friends,
France, the French Gymnastics Federation and the City of Metz are very happy and proud to stage the 2010 Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline World Championships.
We are excited about this event and look forward to seeing our projects implemented.
Everything is under way to make this event an unforgettable success. This huge competition, beautifully organised on-site by Françoise Dal-Zuffo, may pride itself in diverse participation and an outstanding technical level.
The champions will strive to dazzle in a region very much committed to the development of Trampoline and its associated disciplines.
Metz has a long and fruitful tradition, as well as vast experience in the organisation of prestigious events.
We wish all the teams the success they deserve.
Whatever the outcome, every gymnast wins: titles for the best of them and valuable education for the others.
We will ensure that your stay in Metz is a wonderful one.
