WELCOME ADDRESS by Professor Bruno Grandi, FIG President
Dear Friends,
I am looking forward to encountering in Rodez the good-natured caravan that is international Aerobic Gymnastics. We were present at the discipline’s World Series Final in 2007, and will be there again in June of 2010 for the 11th World Championships.
We are pleased to be back in Averyon for a number of reasons, chief among which are the smooth running organisation you provide and an enthusiastic audience. The French Gymnastics Federation will receive us as their guests, a federation that was the first ever to organise a FIG world championship event back in 1995 in Paris, at the Coubertin Stadium. Their commitment is an inspiration to the entire international Aerobics community.
As President and on behalf of the authorities of the FIG and the family that is international gymnastics, I convey my gratitude. Thank you Rodez, and your magnificent Midi-Pyrénées region. Our thanks to the French Gymnastics Federation, to the organisers, to the invaluable volunteers and to all those who contributed to the success of this event.
With my compliments.
Prof. Bruno Grandi FIG President

WELCOME ADDRESS by Jacques Rey, FFG President
The French Gymnastics Federation is proud to have been attributed organisation of the 11th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships by the International Gymnastics Federation.
After the event’s premiere edition in Paris fifteen years ago, international Aerobics is returning to France by way of Rodez, capital of the “northern Midi-Pyrenees and southern Massif Central regions”.
Together, we would like to extend a warm welcome to individuals from all four corners of the globe, whether athletes, judges, officials, spectators or journalists, for a full week of sport and entertainment. France’s gymnasts are advancing upward, taking their rightful place at the forefront of international sports.
Accompanied by local authorities and commercial partners, Organising Committee President Yves Estivals and his entire team are working to make this event a flying success through their unfailing commitment and enthusiasm.
It is a competition not soon to be forgotten.
Jacques Rey
FFG President
