Training Information

Henley Dragons are based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK. The famous Henley Royal Regatta is held on the picturesque stretch of the River Thames where we train.

We paddle from the Eyot Boat Centre which is about 100m down the Wargrave Road from the Little Angel pub. If you are coming from Henley look for a dark blue sign on the right saying 'T.S. Guardian'. The Eyot Boat Centre is through the gates and on your right. For a map click here.

We normally train in the dragon boats twice a week, on Thursday evenings from 7.00pm, and Sunday mornings from 10.00am. During the summer we also train as a club on Tuesday evenings.

The club has a selection of 01s for individual training sessions, a small gym and a wide selection of other water craft.

Occasionally when the river is on red flood alert we move the training to Dorney Lake or Bray Lake.

The club has a very mixed age range. Anyone and everyone is welcome. If you are interested in having a go please get in touch first to check we will be there because sometimes we race on Sundays. Fill out the contact form here and we'll get back in touch as soon as possible.
