ASA Club and County Conference 2008: Presentations

Volunteers

Welcome to the volunteering section of the ASA website that is dedicated to providing guidance, news and best practice for the volunteer workforce.

For swimming and the other aquatic disciplines to succeed and grow it relies profoundly on the skills, knowledge and commitment of its volunteer workforce.  The current level of personal commitment given to swimming is immense with an estimation of over 30,000 people working at club level.

The ASA recognises it’s role in supporting this workforce and hopes this website will help volunteers to:
· Find a role that matches their interest and skills
· Effectively manage and support volunteers you are working with
· Share good practice in recruiting and retaining volunteers
· Raise any questions they may have
· Keep up to date with news
· Access training
· Access ASA policies, procedures and resources that will support volunteers in their work

If you have any questions you would like the volunteering team to answer please email volunteering@swimming.org
