It is with great pleasure that the asa's draft Strategy 2009-13 is now available for consultation.

Over the last 10 months the asa and its staff have undergone a rigorous process of review, assessment and target setting to arrive at the document we have today. the asa is made up of eight regions as well as its national programmes and we have ensured that the draft encompasses all aspects of our works.

The regions have their own strategies similar but independent to this document that reflects local needs.

The consultation runs until 22 August 2008 and we would appreciate any comments you may have about its contents of structure and overall, its suitability to take the sport of swimming forward to 2013.
