Spacious, luxurious accommodation as one would expect from one of the Black Mountains’ foremost C17 farmhouses.  The house has been lovingly restored and extended over the last twenty years to accommodate our growing family and very often their friends and our relatives.  We offer our guests bedrooms sleeping twelve in the Main House, six in the Swimming Pool Annexe and four in the Bunk House all exclusively yours during your stay (for parties larger than 22 click here). Take a photo-walk through the accommodation to see for yourself.

Because OGM is first and foremost our family home where we gather when we can, we have added over the years a fantastic array of facilities, games and activities to keep all ages entertained and we (to be honest very largely Stephen) have developed a wonderful garden where for most of the year there is something to pick and eat, which you are most welcome to enjoy.

What attracted us originally to the house and is still today our greatest pleasure, is the wonderful setting for OGM.  Nestling in the well named Golden Valley area that borders England and Wales, the views are breathtaking.  From the night sky which is often so clear you can actually see the Milky Way, to the views of the Black Mountains, Hay Bluff and the magical Skirrid to the rich rolling farmland that surrounds the house, you will be truly spoilt for where to look and for places to visit with the local villages, specialist food suppliers (many of whom have been organic since before the term was coined), the very largely unspoilt towns of Abergavenny and Ross on Wye and not forgetting Hereford, a city on account of its majestic cathedral which houses the Mappa Mundi – the oldest map in the world.

We look forward to welcoming you to Old Great Marlborough.
